Privacy Policy

Last updated 8 September 2026

This is a small, one-person site that writes about home decor and links to Amazon. It is not an advertising business and it has no interest in following you around. Here is exactly what happens to your data, in the order it happens.

Who is responsible

NowaDaysPosts is run by an independent publisher based in Slovenia, in the European Union. For anything on this page, including a request to see or delete your data, write to [ contact email ] and you will get an answer within one month, as the GDPR requires. That mailbox is the controller’s contact point; no data protection officer is appointed, and none is required at this size.

Reading the site

You can read every page here without giving anything. There is no account, no login and no contact form. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps ordinary server logs (IP address, browser, the page requested, the time) to keep the site up and to absorb attacks. That is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, and those logs are short-lived.

The fonts you are reading are served from this domain, not from Google, so your browser never asks Google for them.

Analytics, only if you say yes

We would like to know which pages get read. That is Google Analytics 4, and it needs cookies, so it runs on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and nothing else. Until you press Accept analytics, the Google script is never downloaded and no request reaches Google at all. Google Consent Mode is set to deny advertising storage permanently, so your visit is never used to build an advertising profile, and IP anonymisation is on.

Google Ireland Limited is the processor, with onward transfer to Google LLC in the United States under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Data is kept 14 months and then deleted. Everything set, and how to withdraw, is on the cookie policy page.

The newsletter

If you type your email into the signup box and press subscribe, we store that email so we can send you the newsletter. That is consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, given by you pressing the button after reading what the box says.

  • What we hold: your email address, the date you subscribed, and whether you opened the last few emails.
  • Who processes it: Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), a French company, acting as our processor under Article 28 GDPR. Their servers are in the European Union, so your email address does not leave the EEA for this purpose. See their privacy policy.
  • How long: until you unsubscribe. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and using it deletes you from the list. You can also just write to us.
  • We never sell or rent the list, and we do not use it for anything except the newsletter itself.

Amazon links

Every product link here goes to Amazon and carries our affiliate tag. When you click one, Amazon may set its own cookies so a purchase can be attributed to us. That happens on Amazon’s side, under Amazon’s Privacy Notice, and we never see who bought what. We receive only anonymous totals: how many items were ordered and what commission was earned. No names, no addresses, no order details.

Full detail of the commercial relationship is on the affiliate disclosure page.

Product images

Product photographs are served from Amazon’s own image servers, so your browser requests them from Amazon and Amazon sees your IP address for that request. This is how Amazon requires their images to be used, and it happens on every page that shows products.

Your rights

Under Chapter III of the GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold (Article 15), have it corrected (16), have it deleted (17), have its use restricted (18), have it sent to you in a machine-readable file (20), object to anything based on legitimate interest (21) and withdraw consent at any time (7(3)). One email to the address above starts any of them, and it costs nothing. There is no automated decision-making or profiling here within the meaning of Article 22.

If you think we got it wrong

Tell us first, it is usually fixable the same day. But under Article 77 GDPR you can also complain directly to a supervisory authority. In Slovenia that is the Informacijski pooblaščenec, Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, gp.ip@ip-rs.si. If you live elsewhere in the EU or EEA, your own national authority works too.

Children

This site is written for adults furnishing their own homes. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has subscribed, write to us and it will be deleted.

Changes

If we add a tool or change a provider, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. Older versions are available on request.
