Halloween Is Eight Days Away, But Pinterest Is Already Decorating for Thanksgiving and Christmas
Halloween is eight days away, and the searches have already moved on. On Pinterest this month, painting pumpkins is up 600% and Thanksgiving table decor is up 300%, while Christmas mantle ideas, vintage inspired Christmas trees and Christmas entryway table decor are all climbing at once. Here are five finds, one for each.
The mantle, and a garland that does the work. Christmas mantle ideas are up 200%, and one full garland is the quickest answer. This one is 9 feet of soft-touch cedar tips that droop naturally over the sides, with lights already built in and a remote for warm white, multicolor, flashing and timer modes. Lay it along a mantle, a staircase or a door frame. 4.5 stars from 784.
The tree, and glass that looks inherited. Vintage inspired Christmas trees are up 200%, and mercury glass is how you get there. These six finials are real glass with an internal silver coating, 5.5 to 7.2 inches tall, in six different shapes so they fill gaps instead of vanishing. Each comes pre-strung with a silver cord. 4.9 stars from 101.
The entryway, and three velvet trees. Christmas entryway table decor is up 400%. This set has a small, a medium and a large cone tree, 6.3, 8.3 and 10.2 inches tall, each a ceramic core wrapped in soft velvet. Stagger them on a console, a mantle or a dining table. 4.9 stars from 98.
The craft table, and forty-five pumpkins to paint. Painting pumpkins is the fastest-growing search in home decor right now, and these wooden cutouts skip the carving mess. You get 45 unfinished pumpkins, 3.5 by 3 inches, sanded smooth with a pre-drilled hole, plus 42.6 feet of hemp rope to hang them from a branch. Paints are sold separately. 4.7 stars from 313.
The Thanksgiving table, and a runner that stays through Christmas. This runner is 100% European flax linen in an almond plaid, 14 by 48 inches, with mitered corners, and it gets softer with every wash. It suits a console or a small table, and it takes you from turkey to the tree without changing a thing. 4.5 stars from 323.
If you only do one thing this weekend, lay the runner down. It takes a minute, it works for three holidays, and it makes everything you put on top look planned.
