Halloween Is 19 Days Away: Paint Gnomes, Hang Paper Spiders and Light Three Black Candles

Halloween is 19 days away, and what people search for on Pinterest has shifted from ideas to things they can finish this week. Paint-your-own decor is up 800% month over month, Halloween party ideas are up 400% and Christmas tree ideas for 2026 are already up 300%. Here are five finds that fit those searches, from a quiet evening project to a room-filling party set.

The craft, and six gnomes to paint. This kit has everything in the box: 6 white ceramic gnomes about 4 inches tall, 12 pots of acrylic paint, 2 brushes and a palette. Each gnome has a different harvest detail to colour in. Paint them over an evening, then line them up on a shelf or the dinner table. 4.6 stars from 87.

The tree, and a garland that looks old-fashioned on purpose. This one is 8 feet 6 inches of real wood beads, each about half an inch wide, in a deep cranberry red with a soft sheen. Drape it in loose swags from the top and it works with gold, green or all-white trees. It is early, but tree ideas are already moving. 4.7 stars from 770.

The party, and a whole wall of paper. This set has 2 printed paper lanterns, an orange honeycomb ball, 5 tissue paper fans in orange, black and white, 3 honeycomb spiders and a 13 foot garland of bats and spiders. Everything folds flat and hangs with tape, so it is the cheapest way to fill a room. 4.9 stars from 65.

The sofa, and two pillow covers. The fastest Halloween upgrade is a new print on the cushions. This set of 2 is 18 by 18 inches with the same retro design on both sides: a skeleton holding a jack-o-lantern, a ghost and a haunted house on orange. Soft fabric, invisible zipper. Covers only, inserts are not included. 4.8 stars from 443.

The mantel, and candles that never need a lighter. Three real wax pillars in 4, 5 and 6 inch heights, each 3 inches wide, with a flickering LED flame and a melted-wax look around the rim. The remote sets a 2, 4, 6 or 8 hour timer. It needs 2 AA batteries, which are not included. 4.5 stars from 715.

If you only have an hour, hang the paper set. It changes a room faster than anything else on this list, and it all comes down in one go on November 1.
